The same old unmistakable 911 shape but with completely reworked design elements and body. As Porsche, themselves, say in their latest press release: “At 48 the Porsche 911 Carrera is younger than ever”. I tend to agree 100% with that statement. The 911 Carrera has never looked so beautiful and elegant until the first photos of the type 991 appeared online. It will make its official debut at the 2011 IAA Frankfurt Motor Show.

This new 911 Carrera S is equipped with a 3.8-litre boxer engine found in the regular place (at the back) and delivers 400 hp (294 kW). Compared to its predecessor the power has been increased by 15 hp, but fuel consumption went down by 14% based on the New European Driving Cycle to achieve a mere 8.7 l/100 km (or 32 mpg).

For me, they somehow remind me of my childhood memories when even seeing a Porsche was like a dream come true. Porsche released information and a video of the new GT3 in action. Rally legend, Walter Rohrl is behind the wheel. This is the most powerful GT3 ever. Engine size has been increased to 3.8 liters, producing 435 bhp, 20 more than its predecessor.

The track warrior accelerates from a standstill to 100 km/h in just 4.1 seconds and reaches a top speed of 312 km/h. Watch the video after the jump.
