Carrera GT drifting at a roundabout in Dubai

As far as I know, going sideways and keeping the Carrera GT in control is not an easy job, so kudos to the guy having the skills and the balls to do it! Enjoy.

996 GT3 following a Gallardo near lake Garda, Italy

A few days ago, I posted a video where the latest Porsche 911 GT3 was presented. This time it’s the previous generation 911 – 996 GT3, and it’s chasing a Lamborghini Gallardo. The action is taking place somewhere near the lake Garda (Italian Lago di Garda) in Northern Italy which seems to be a good choice to get the maximum of your car’s capabilities and test your driving skills. Yes, there are some drawbacks – public roads and traffic.

Find out more about lake Garda on Wikipedia (linky). You can also download the video posted above in better quality if you enter GT3000.com, then click Videos, Country Roads, scroll down and click on Lago di Garda (67 MB).

Drifting a GT3 on a curvy mountain road

“Auto Motor und Sport” took a white-colored GT3 and went out into the mountains to have fun. They definitely have the balls to do some breath taking drifting on the corners.

The battle of the SUVs

Another nice shootout by Fifth Gear. This time it is the Cayenne GTS versus the BMW X5 4.8 V8 presented by Vicki Butler-Henderson. Good news is that the GTS sets a better lap time by finishing nearly 2 seconds ahead of the BMW.

The Cayenne GTS commercial

Very nice and simple advertisement by Porsche. Some information about the Cayenne GTS – 405 hp @ 6500 rpm, 0-60 mph in 5.7 seconds. Below you can watch the extended version of the tv spot.

You can also launch “The Bloodlines are Unmistakable” microsite here, where you can enjoy better quality of the sound and the video, learn more about the Cayenne GTS and “rev” the engine of some P-cars by just a click of the mouse button. Don’t forget to check out the downloads section and the audio iq test. Have fun!

Planks of wood not suitable

What a stupid mistake. I feel sorry for that Carrera GT. The sound when it falls down is horrific.

Cayman S review by Motorvision

The nimble sportscar by Porsche is being driven by Tim Schrick for the German tv show Motorvision. The Cayman, compared to its Japanese rival – the Nissan 350Z, gives better times at the following: braking, slalom and handling. You can see it almost jumping from corner to corner at the end of the video on the handling track.

One of the best sounding V10 engines

What is the recipe for having one of the best sounding cars on the planet? First, buy a Carrera GT, then install straight pipes and here it is. Watch the video to find out that some people even get scared by that loud engine.
